Welcome to Ashlawn School - Year 7 Transition 2025
Year 6 to 7 Transition 2025
It is a great honour to welcome you to our transition page and we are very pleased that you and your child have chosen Ashlawn School for their secondary education.
We understand that moving from primary school to secondary school can be both exciting and nerve-racking at the same time. In addition, it can create uncertainty at the best of times. The Transition Team is working tirelessly to ensure a smooth transition to secondary school life with a strong focus on students feeling confident about their school move before the new academic year.
We continually adapt our transition process to ensure learners arrive here physically, mentally and emotionally prepared for this next exciting phase of education. We have lots of plans around supporting students to settle in, find their way around and to ensure they make a positive start to the year.
The information on this page will be updated to help you and your child with the transition process from primary to secondary school. It is also a valuable source of information for students and parents who are joining Ashlawn School as in-year admissions.
Below are some useful links and advice which may help you and your child with the transition from primary to secondary.
